Mountain Edge Apex Camp

From July 5th to July 11th, the Mountain Edge WC will be hosting the
Mountain Edge APEX Camp.
At Buck Lake, Alberta
“The Camp for the Best of the Best”
During this camp, we will be bringing the World to Alberta.
We will have four signature APEX days:
CUBAN DAY! Pan American Silver Medalist and Cuban National Team member Santigo Hernandez will run the camp as if it were straight from Cuba, right from the Cuban warm-up to the World Famous Cuban Technique sessions. Slick, slick, slick. Be ready, campers!
IRANIAN DAY! Former World Bronze Medalist, Asian Games Silver Medalist, and current Canadian Senior Champion, Kheyrollah Gharhamani, will be taking you back to his very successful days in Iran. He will lead you through the Iranian camp style and show some of their very innovative technique. Explosiveness and finesse all in one.
UKRAINIAN DAYS! As a bonus, we will have two separate UKRAINIAN DAYS. Former Ukraine National Wrestler, Artem Paprotsky, will run Day 1, and Former World Bronze Medalist Vitaliy Hurskyy will run Day 2 with the help of Kyrylo Paintielieiev. Kyrylo coached for 10 years at the Ukrainian Military Academy.
Joining these International stars will be many guest clinicians. The Camp Director is Mountain Edge WC Head Coach Kevin Lomas. Kevin has over 40 years of experience developing outstanding wrestlers and coaches. The Assistant Camp Director is the 2024 Alberta Coach of the Year, Coach of the Alberta Elite Women’s WC and The ROC, Jazzie Barker. Jazzie will be bringing in several high-profile Women’s coaches during the week.
Some special guests will be 4X Canadian Olympic Coach Leigh Vierling, and the 2025 Alberta Coach of the Year, University of Lethbridge Head Coach Shawn Daye-Finley.
Please apply with the QR code on the flyer. The application fee is $20. The camp will be limited to just 44 campers. There will be a selection committee choosing who qualifies for this year’s camp. The application fee will be refunded if you are not selected. If you are selected, the camp cost is $750 more. All application fees and camp fees must be transferred to mountainedgewrestlingclub@gmail.com
Please do not transfer the $750 until you know that you have been selected to attend.
The camp fees will include 6 nights in a hotel, 3 catered meals per day, plus a light snack, and three on mat/or physical sessions per day.
Please ensure you bring a water bottle, running shoes and a towel. This camp is for ages from U15 to U19
