22 athletes and 3 coaches headed to Swift Current, Saskatchewan on August 13th to represent Alberta at the 2019 Western Canada Summer Games. Lead by Coaches Owen Dawkins, Breanne Graham & Haley Heffel, both the men’s and women’s teams showed that all the hard work over the summer paid off. Both teams went undefeated in the duals (5-0) for double team gold. They also secured 22 individual medals, covering every weight class, including 13 gold medals. Alberta Wrestling would like to thank all the athletes, coaches, parents, officials and clubs who helped make the 2019 Western Canada Summer Games a resounding success. We look forward to working with everyone over the next two years with our sights set on gold at the 2021 Canada Summer Games in Niagara Falls!
